Renewal of temporary protection: instructions (FR and UA)
You benefit from temporary protection: your 6-month temporary residence permit (APS) will soon expire.
You must follow 2 steps to continue to benefit from this protection and financial assistance.
Step 1: renew your temporary residence permit.
To renew your temporary residence permit, you must go to the Prefecture of the place where you currently live (not the prefecture which gave you the first permit).
When to apply ?
You must request the renewal absolutely before the end date of the APS.
The end date of the APS is indicated at the bottom right:
The Ministry of the Interior advises to request renewal between 03 weeks and 03 days before the end date of your APS.

Each prefecture has a particular operation. You must consult the website or write to the prefecture of your place of residence before going there physically.
You must request the renewal absolutely before the end date of the APS.

What documents to bring?
- Passport or any document that proves your identity Proof of address less than 3 months old from the department where you are requesting renewal (electricity bill, telephone bill, rent receipt, accommodation certificate, etc.) Your temporary residence permit (APS ) which is about to expire If your personal or professional situation has changed, proof of this change: employment contract in France, recent marriage or divorce, etc. Between 1 and 4 photographs of the face, bareheaded, in the format 3.5 cm x 4 .5 cm, recent and perfectly similar;
Step 2: Inform the OFII to continue to receive financial assistance.
To keep the financial aid, you must write to the OFII.
When to write?
You must write before the end date of the aid you are currently receiving. If you do not do this, you will no longer receive financial assistance.
It is best to write to the OFII as soon as you have renewed your temporary residence permit (APS)

- Either by mail (list of postal addresses at this link). You must indicate on the envelope "Renewal ADA Ukraine"
What documents should I send to the OFII?
You must send 3 documents to the OFII:
- A copy of the new valid temporary residence permit for all adult family members; If you have earned money in France, proof of all the resources received (salary slips, various aids, etc.) ; A dated and signed form. This form is available at this link (in French and Ukrainian).
